Why does my video have no sound?

If you have recorded a video on JobPixel and it does not have any sound, you need to make sure your microphone permissions are set properly on your device. Microphone permissions exist at both the application level and site level, so it's important to check that both are enabled.


Android

Enable Site-Level Permissions by Browser (example, for Chrome)

  1. On your Android device, open the Chrome app Chrome.
  2. To the right of the address bar, tap MoreOrganizeand then Settings.
  3. Tap Site Settings.
  4. Tap Microphone.
  5. Tap to turn the microphone on or off.

*If you see "JobPixel" under Blocked, tap on the site name and then Access your microphone and then Allow.

Enable App-Level Permissions

  1. On your phone, open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Apps & notifications.
  3. Tap the app you want to change. If you can't find it, first tap See all apps or App info.
  4. Tap Permissions.
    • If you allowed or denied any permissions for the app, you’ll find them here.
  5. To change your microphone permission settings, tap it, then choose Allow and select Only while using the app

Iphone

Enable Site-Level Permissions in Safari

  1. On your iOS device, open the Settings app Apple Settings Icon of Flat style - Available in SVG, PNG, EPS, AI & Icon  fonts
  2. Tap on Safari.
  3. Tap on Microphone.
  4. Tap Ask (if you want to be prompted every time a new site requires permission) or Allow (if you want to enable permissions on any site automatically).

Enable App-Level Permissions

  1. On your iOS device, open the Settings app Apple Settings Icon of Flat style - Available in SVG, PNG, EPS, AI & Icon  fonts
  2. Tap Privacy.
  3. Tap Microphone.
  4. Review the list of apps and toggle ON for all apps that you wish to allow access to your camera.
